How do I become a member?
To join, click the "Apply Now" or "Join Now" button on our homepage. After submitting your registration form, our team will review your application and contact you with the final steps for payment. Once your membership is verified, you will receive your official confirmation and welcome package.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes. Membership at the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club is structured to include a one-time joining fee, an annual subscription, and an annual development contribution. These contributions help us maintain the exclusivity and high-quality facilities our members expect.
Full details regarding the fee structure for all membership categories, as well as payment terms, will be provided clearly during the formal registration process.
Can I pay directly on the website?
No, direct payments through the website are not currently supported. This ensures that all transactions are handled through secure, verified channels.
What are the available payment methods?
Payments can be made via:
Bank Transfer: Transfer the funds directly to our official bank account.
Mobile Money (Lipa Number): Use your mobile service provider to pay via our designated Lipa Number.
How long does it take to process my payment?
Once you have submitted your payment proof, our team will verify the transaction. Verification usually takes a short period, after which your account status will be updated automatically.
How far in advance do I need to book my event?
All event applications must be submitted at least 7 days before your requested event date. Additionally, full payment must be finalized at least 3 days prior to the event to secure and confirm your booking.
Can I bring my own catering, music, and decorators?
Yes, external vendors (including catering, decorators, entertainment, and photographers) are welcome. However, you must provide a list of their names and contacts on your booking form, inform security of their arrival times, and ensure any amplified music ends strictly by 10:00 PM.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
If you cancel your event within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, it will incur a 25% fee. Please note that the club does not offer refunds for late cancellations or no-shows.
Is there a cleaning fee, and who handles the event cleanup?
The host is entirely responsible for cleaning up after the event and disposing of all waste in the designated bins. If the space is not left clean, a mandatory cleanup fee of TZS 100,000 will be charged.
Is guest and vendor parking guaranteed on-site?
Parking inside the club premises is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Double parking or blocking access routes is strictly prohibited, and vehicles are not allowed to park overnight unless they receive prior approval from club management.
